Boston Bound

Today I'm taking hubs to the airport over my lunch hour. He's getting a head start on the vacation and staying with a high school friend. I'll be joining in the festivities come Wednesday.

Here's what we plan to do while we're there:

1. Visit Boston's North End for some good authentic Italian food (i.e. Cannoli, Ziti etc. :-) )

2. Catch a Red Sox game.

3. Get in some shopping at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets.

????

Has anyone ever been before? If so can you please suggest any great spots? I'm pretty overwhelmed. Oh and what will I wear???

I go to Boston all the time because my boyfriend lives there. We haven't eaten dinner in the North End yet, though we have stopped by a couple of the pastry shops the area (Mike's Pastry comes to mind)-- SO GOOD!

When I visit we tend to do a lot of walking around town. I love to walk through the Public Garden and all through the Back Bay and Beacon Hill neighborhoods. There's obviously fabulous shopping on Newbury Street :)

I haven't checked out too much of the nightlife, but there's a great little jazz bar called Wally's that was fun. I still want to go to the Top of the Hub restaurant/bar located on top of the Prudential Center. Might be something fun for you all to check out.

Boston Symphony has its Pops concerts all throughout the summer. I've been dying to go. They have a great lineup this summer.

One more thing and then I'll shut up: if you like Thai food, there's a great restaurant in the Fenway neighborhood called "Thaitation." Best Pad Thai I've ever had.

Have fun on your trip! Boston is a great city and I can't wait to move there.
